wtfhuhbuhwhaaaa?
Actually managed to have half a discussion with mum re. my plans for the year - i.e. my actual career plans, i.e. WRITING - and trying to get short stories out there and a novel assembled.

Now she is all, well, get cracking. Just after telling me to take weeks off to let my hands recover.

Color me really. fucking. confused. |D;

[EDIT] Also, calling all Hobb readers. I have done a terrible thing to my seme-sama. How did you make peace with the ending of the Tawny Man? I ask this even though I know [info]alleyne and I regularly scream FUCKING SKILL PILLAR at each other in despair. All I can say is, somewhere in the back of my head there is a relatively happy culturally-confused threesome. Because that is how they do it in... that tiny little land to the south whose name I can never remember. Ummmm. Thingie. >_>

You know, I will always love her world.
But every day I lose a little more respect for Robin Hobb herself. :\ Shocking as it is to think about, it is actually possible to both write and blog.

It's just very difficult to write, blog, and hold down a real job/dedicate yourself properly to study.

Why does she hate everything I love? ;_;

University today was pretty long and boring - which was why I was finding PSOH fic during my studio in the afternoon. XD The teacher seemed to understand my storyboard fairly well, although she said nothing of the theme, which was what I was most concerned about. >>; Well, I'll sort that out, anyway. I actually spent most of that class sketching in OC (which worked this time) and looking at the artwork of Tobias Kwan, who is amazing. Also looked at Alex Drummond's stuff for that... game that has something to do with twilight or shadow or something. I love concept art. *sparkles*

Anyway, ummm... not sure what I'm going to do this afternoon. Another storyboard frame or two, I think, and then it will be high time for me to work out the actual introduction to The Conductor. We did character arcs on butcher's paper in Novel today, and mine is pretty much the perfect semi-circle. XD Everyone else at my table was very impressed. Hurrah for steady hands? I think it's slightly more impressive to be able to write ike Tegan writes, of course, given the class we were in, but I suppose it was nice to prove my worth with something, even if that thing was drawing perfect semi-circles. >>;

Have to read Carrie for next week. :3 I was reading the Paris Review interview with Stephen King on the bus on the way home and, man, I really like that man. I like the way he explains where his ideas come from. XD That's how it works for me, too, so it's nice to see it written down somewhere.

I should probably try to wear the contacts for an hour or so this afternoon, too, but... enh. >> That's what tomorow's for, right? They've sort of... lost their charm. But I really should attempt to wear them. asfhaskjadhsf. Why can't my eyes just be naturally violet? :\ Again with the inconvenience of genetics!

[EDIT] Right, brief tussle with the language bar, there. >_> As I was trying to say: the contacts are in as of 5.15pm and should remain in until around nine. Hopefully mum actually gets to see them at some point. XD I don't think she has, yet.

...in slightly more alarming news, I think I've lost my iPod. I'm sure it will turn up again in fifteen minutes or so, but for the time being... um... fuck. Never mind. It was in my jewellery box. I don't know, either.
