So today I found out that my supervisor is going to work on something else. And I am going to be in charge of the people who start in one and two weeks respectively. ;A; C-can I cry now? So, um, kind of... worried about that. But I'm sure it will all be fine. Or at least, I will continue to tell myself this until I make it so. Ahaha. D:

In other news, my boss was serious about the commission, so I'll start work on that tonight. I'm doing a t-shirt design for a band he's friends with. Their music is actually really nice, so this is quite awesome, and the photos I was given of the band are so FULL OF ENERGY that it's destined to be a really fun design. :D I may be distracted into drawing Ciorrnaich approximately five million times, but that's what happens when you put him in the same headspace as awesome music.

On the subject of which: I love apparently random dances more than anyone reasonably should.

He had a great time sailing, and then he asked after his marks and I think I brought his mood down pretty low. :( I was so glad to hear from him, too. *breaks things* Everything is salvageable, going from the comments, and I think I had very much the same marks in grade nine, but mum is... mum. Anything lower than an A is completely unacceptable. And she's planning to take away his gaming entirely during semester, which I think is maybe the worst idea ever and guaranteed to make him hate on life for the rest of the year and not come out of his room at all, ever, during the holidays. :\ I think I will attempt to talk to her about it. It is not fair that he is banned from all video games the year that I finally have time to play some, hypothetically.

This makes me want to watch Crusoe. XD I had heard things, but the fact that Sarah Monette made a drinking game to it? Yeah, you know the rest.

My wrist is fucked today. To be fair, it was fucked halfway through work yesterday. It is not merely a result of playing Dirty Little Secret like some kind of obsessive freak. >_> I may have exacerbated its condition, but this is not the point.

I had very strange dreams involving many many pets, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, deer, and rabbits. Also involving crazily pirouetting, like, JET HELICOPTERS and epic missile launches in the sky, and realising that I am probably not going to like my sister very much, even though I love her. Dreams involving Gina always seem to emphasise her worst qualities.

So at eight o' clock I decided writing was a lost cause and decided I would go to bed.

But it was too hot to sleep so I started reading the OzLit book for tomorrow.

And I was just getting into that when I discovered that I felt like writing again, so I've picked up a notebook and started blabbing, Hiru-style. He's such a snitty little thing, oh Hiru, I love you when you are young and easily offended maybe even more than I like you when you are a snitty experienced bitch-queen of ultimate despair.

And as soon as I started getting into that I went back to the internet.

Am I just stupid, or do I have some kind of fucking disease? XD; I really am tired and I really do feel like writing - why is it only when exhausted to the point of retardedness that my characters drape themselves over my headspace and start saying, "So... like... got a pen handy?"

Writers Fest was HILARIOUS OH GOD. The guy I went to see, right, I went in thinking his main character was meant to be a parody of boysy fantasy protagonists who know all and can do all despite their raging self-confidence. OH, NO. THAT IS ACTUALLY HOW HE ACTS. XD; But his co-authors were neat people, particularly one Margo Lanagan.

(Intermission: Ran into Danielle, who is still stressed but apparently has a boyfriend now... who does not have a job and she asked if he could get in at HN. :D;;;;;;; Also had lunch with Rage and Xant, during which I cackled hysterically over aforementioned author, and we all cackled hysterically over my serve of chips. I WOULD LIKE TO STRESS THAT AT THAT POINT I HAD EATEN PRECISELY ONE FRENCH FRY. This was then inscribed in the Book of LOL.)

Then I went back to WriFest to see this guy again and caught the tail end of Margo Lanagan's panel and decided that this woman was Freaking Awesome and that I should read all of her everything, so in the period between her going offstage and Michael Pryor coming on, I ran to the bookstore, bought two books, ran to get them signed and tell her how awesome her talk was, and then ran back to the bookstore to purchase the book she'd actually been talking about, and then ran back to Michael Pryor for the sake of my assignment.

So, so much of what he said was anathema to me. |D; I think my question for him sums the session up nicely. (Keep in mind that I am, like, one of ten people at this talk not in a school uniform or a teacher.)

I read Blood Noir and all I got was this lousy vague promise of Asher/Jean Claude/Anita in the next book. Fuck you, LKH! That book was shitty filler and you know it!

Okay, so it wasn't only filler, but I'm not joking about the shitty part. At least Harlequin featured Asher for more than like five lines, one of which re. the probability of him turning cartwheels.
