2012 was awesometasteriffic.
i.e. nonsensical, but fun. It was, as my boss put it, the most expensive B-grade I've ever seen. I suppose these are technically spoilers. Pffffsnnrrrrk. )

I am pretty sure every vehicle in the film was stolen from either FFVII or Wall-E, though. And John Cusack can get some better cheekbones and come back to play Crowley any time, I am just saying.

On the bright side, hey, heat, seawater and time! You didn't even need that last continent!

Oh man, I was exhausted before the movie. I think I've slipped into over-tired now. Not yet awake enough for NaNo, though. We'll try again at 4am, eh?

It comes back at the WORST MOMENTS.
"Is that you, Aziraphale? Nice dress."

ME: I've thought this many times before, but that line begs to have something done with it.
CROWLEY: It does? It does.
AZIRAPHALE: *suspicious* Like what?
ME: Well, if Up There were really busy, say during all this war and terrorism business--
CROWLEY: They might mix up the bodies, you mean? *becoming fascinated*
ME: Yes, quite.
CROWLEY: *brief gleam of evil*
AZIRAPHALE: *muttering* ...could just miracle it into a more appropriate...
ME: So it's a plan?
CROWLEY: *deflates abruptly* But he'd ruin it. Just think of the clothes he'd put on a body like that.
ME: .........
ME: ...it would be knee-length tartan pleats, wouldn't it. :(
CROWLEY: *miserably* Or tweed. And those horrible lumpy cardigans.
AZIRAPHALE: There is nothing wrong with my cardigans!
ME AND CROWLEY: *collective sigh*

Straight from the serpent's mouth.
I don't know who the fuck designed this keyboard, but they decided the most logical place for the apostrophe was right down the bottom near the space bar, because clearly the colon/semi-colon keys are more important to everyday writing. WHAT.

Otherwise, Crowley is shaping up nicely. I may be writing NaNo entirely in Notepad, but this may in fact add to the purity of the exercise. Lack of wordcount function = lack of stress, amirite?

We'll see how I go setting up a wireless network for him and go from there. All this may simply amount to typing practice on the little baby keyboard. (There is a camera, though, and now that I have Firefox, all things will be well.)

He's very lightweight. Perhaps I should have called him Sable.

[EDIT] Also, omg, NaNo sign-ups are go! X3 Have updated my info. <3 This is so exciting. X3333 Fifth year of NaNo! Wooo!

sdrow? sdrow tahw?
I started typing whole words backwards during the essay, so I thought it might be time for a bit of a break. I might be finished by midnight, but that's only a might, not a probably.

(Certainly not probably if I keep gazing adoringly into Sanga's elbow fins, which does not look to stop any time soon.)

No storm. :( Lousy fifteen minutes of rain. Leviathan is a cocktease.

[EDIT] I would be more excited about the new Tsubasa chapter if it were not all bloody re-iteration. Grrrgh. Why do you do this to us, CLAMP?

[EDIT] Also, for the record: I am not a perfume person, but. The thought of perfuming myself with crumbling paper and ancient cracked leather actually makes me shiver happily to myself.

Bibliophile? Moi?

[EDIT] ...so far, the perfumes that I want from that list add up to $200. US. But, for my own sake:
  • Agnes Nutter
  • War
  • Famine
  • Crowley
  • Aziraphale
  • Nanny Ashtoreth
  • Wensleydale (EVERYBODY LOVES WENSLEY, OKAY.)
  • The Buggre-Alle-This Bible

$200 for 40ml of perfume is totally reasonable, right?

The Sound of Omens.
HASTUR (sings):

I am lurking, going on skulking
I can lurk all night
Around the corner, there I’ll be hulking
I’ll give you quite a fright.

UWAAAAAAAAAGHDSDSKJHFSHF.
I am going to do that reading meme as soon as I stop being too retarded to follow the directions. XD FAIL.

Today was massive fun! Wyrren and I went shopping to get another Wii nunchuk so that Ve Could Brawl, and Gentlemen, I Like Brawl. I played Sheik...most of the time. I think I changed once to Marth but I came crawling back, and there are COLOURS and this is excellent, and also I am kind of awful at Mario Kart, although slightly better with a real controller on my side. XD;;; In any case, I'm due at work pretty soon so I'm gonna hop-skip it, but I have had a cramp in my hip/thigh/ass/SOMEWHERE THERE GOD KNOWS for the last... probably twenty-four hours and I just thought I'd fucked my hip over, but no, it is a cramp, so I am going to be worse than useless at work tonight. XD *hobbles*

I also bought another copy of Good Omens today. :D One more and I have a complete set! :DDDDD

(ALSO, LAURYN AND KAREN, HAVE YOU MADE BRAWL PORN OUT OF THE SOUND EFFECTS SECTION YET? SRSLY, GO MAKE PORN. Some of the sound effects are hilarious. People should totally make me Sheik/Link to this. JUST SAYING.)

THY SONGS WERE MADE FOR THE PURE AND FREE
Why didn't I know this existed? :D

Still the saddest song in the universe. It is kind of ridiculous how hard this song makes me sob. Damn the Irish for all their damn sad songs. (And damn my father, who has lost the CD. ;A;)

Ahaha, okay, no, seriously, I cannot stop crying. XD XD XD How many times must I learn that Minstrel Boy + Hormones = No? At least Barra Barra is awesome enough to distract me. <3 <3 <3 The Black Hawk Down OST is seriously one of the greatest soundtracks I've ever heard.

The only real downside to this haircut is that I have to straighten it to stop myself looking like I've just rolled out of bed. And even then I'm not as neat as I'd like to be. XD But I suppose that's just the nature of my hair and unrealistically high expectations a la the Adams twins at MSM. (There were these girls. Their hair did not even have comb lines; it was always just perfectly smooth and perfectly flat. IT WAS CREEPY.)

In other news, this conversation for the oral in week fourteen is going to sound horribly stilted - not because I can't say these things, but because the order they've been given in sounds really weird. XD
