It is probably wrong to think of Byakuya while reading this.

.......but I seriously cannot help it. It's all his fault. Him and the Shinigami Women's Association.

[EDIT] Also: this youtube video? Totally Arthur. In secret. Yeah. >>

completely unnecessary panic attacks, part 7836743624.
So, uh, the audition was about two minutes long and consisted of singing about thirty seconds of scales and thirty seconds of "Shine" from Hellsing. I have a lot of power and she wants to put me in soprano, to which I say djfhsdjfs NO D: and also ALL THE BETTER TO DEAFEN YOU WITH MY DEAR. (I love that this is everyone's first comment, lololol. Human Foghorn FTW.)

In other news, OH MY GOD X'DDDD

And now I am off to dad's to babysit my siblings. XD

references, references, references.
Saw Wall-E. X3 It was wonderful for so many reasons. I really enjoyed it. The references, the characters themselves, the music, the animation... it was just really lovely all round, although I found myself teary for about half of it. I was just in that kind of mood.

Lunch was nice. ^__^ It didn't seem to go lightning-fast, as most lunches do, which was good.

I picked up 2001: A Space Odyssey after we saw the movie (I COULDN'T NOT) and also Fargo (because it was ten dollars and it is awesome) and the new Metallica album. It's still not fabulous, but since it's not possible to beat the black album, there's no point even discussing it. I also picked up the Phoenix Wright comic, but it seems to be less the official manga and more a conglomeration of artists doing a tribute, because it reads something like a doujinshi. :\ Not quite sure how to feel about this, but have not discovered an artist in it who is truly amazing yet, so we'll see.

Going to read this and doze fitfully, and possibly start coding and imagefiddling for the Gambaro website after that. <3 And planning breakfast in the morning. I MUST MAKE THOSE PANCAKES OF SHEER AWESOME AGAIN. *clenches fists dramatically*

.......god. This really is doujinshi. :|;;;

nihongo o kakete, yonde, wakararemasu.
Japanese exam was fine. Missed a line or two because the accent on the tape meandered around the country and I didn't have time to adjust before the information I needed was said, but finished the writing/reading half in half time, so that was... nice. :\

.....omigawwwwd, the Ace Attourney manga is coming out this week! 8DDD OFFICIALLY! 8DDDDDDDDDD I DID NOT KNOW THAT THIS WAS HAPPENING! 8DDDD Something tells me that Edgeworth icons are imminent. ♥

Mum has Chris and Karen from Powerlink over for dinner, so I ate with them and scarpered. XD Tired, and do not want to spend the whole night talking about football.

Should probably take a look at the info that Rosie Gambaro gave me this afternoon, for the Gambaro site, but I think I'll actually start working on that on Saturday, or Monday, depending on how much sleep I actually get on Saturday. (Because I am setting it aside entirely as a day of sleep.)

Also, is it windy today or WHAT. Whoo-ee. o.0

Oh! And my <epic icons and postcards arrived today. HAPPINESS. Except that my Kamina/Simon 08 election badge didn't come through. DDDDD: Shall mail EK about that soon.

am I not all you dreamed I would be...?
Oh, sweet Jesus, I forgot how involved being in this house is. XD; Especially if Grandma is here and Dad is out of the house. Grandma tends to get all up in the kids' business, and this involves impassioned shouts from all involved and then I wade in sowing peace and harmony and love or at least tolerance of fellow relatives, and then it is quiet for a while - until it is Ominously Silent and you know that somewhere, someone is being suffocated with a pillow; or until there is Giggling, which means that drawing on walls is happening... I'm beginning to wish for a sacred drum. XD Because I can handle giving simple commands repeatedly in time to a beat.

omgggggg what the hell is going on out there asdfghjkl; DON'T MAKE ME COME OUT THERE, GUYS |D;;;

OH GOD REWRITING THINGS FROM THE DISTANT PAST IS HIDEOUS. |D; HIDEOUS. I keep having to look back at the old piece to mirror its (dubious) structure at least a little bit and, oh god, it is vile. I keep flailing and keyboard-mashing and writhing in place, because oh god hideous. Whyyyy. (Also, lol, alliteration. 8D Oh, god, hatehatehatehahajshdfasflyasjdscm.)

In other news, it is probably not good to want to make karaoke comic strips of your characters when you could be doing stuff that is somewhat more worthwhile. You know. Like writing their actual story. Or drawing Sanga cavorting with Yorick-the-Skull and gnawing on a thighbone. I can't take him anywhere.

Also, for the record re. HIDEOUSNESS - Sanga? THROWING YOURSELF OFF A CLIFF IS NOT PATIENCE. WHAT THE HELL, SELF.

Oh, Sanga, you creepy, creepy bastard. ♥ No wonder I love you so fucking much. This relationship is complicated and creepy and my god it is going to take a long time before Hiru is anywhere near ready to stop drowning. Working on this makes me absolutely giddy. XD I wish I could make the other relationships in this damn novel mean as much to me. (But then, it's considerably more difficult to find a metaphor for Tol, Skeff, and Ban. XD Hiru and Sanga come with metaphors attached. Hurrah, again, for elemental affinities!)

More babbling about Trials and Tribulations. )

And now that I'm home again: OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL LOOKING FOR GROUP I AM BEWILDERED AND CONFUSED BUT YOU ARE AWESOME. XD

What?

WHAT?

WE'RE DOING WHAT?

...why does it seem like the end of the world? XD Next thing you know, Berserk will be finishing.

I... um, I didn't do any assignment work yesterday, because I started playing Trials and Tribulations again, and, uh, like any addict, I cannot escape its clutches. ) Presumably I'll actually work on my assignment a little this afternoon because Grandma is coming over and the children can run rampant with her instead of with me, if only briefly. XD;

how the hell can a person
Today I had a kanji exam first thing.

So I walked out of the house forty-five minutes before the exam without my wallet or my house keys. (See icon.) It's a bloody good thing that work is right across the road and Jeff lent me $30, or I would have been well and truly fucked in the ass with the Venus Gospel. Even if the exam was only 2.5%, that is not how I want to go out, kthx.

I already know one error that I made, but this is because I have never encountered the word for 'population' and so, naturally, had no fucking idea of how to write it in kanji. XD XD XD I know now that it is PERSON MOUTH. I will remember this next time. XD Other than that small hiccup, I think I did fine, and the class this morning was more about verb fiddling and speaking than anything else, and Adeline came to this class so I had Adeline and Sawan and clearly this was made of awesome. :D We're considering a study group. It would be epic, and largely concerned with earrings.

The fact that I have no sense of grammar in Japanese really frustrates me, purely because I'm such a stickler for it in English. XD; Every time I arrange something backward I feel like an absolute moron.

I had lunch with Rage again and handed over The Virtu (not without a brief and totally justified moment of ;A; even though I know she'll take care of it and have it back to me soon XD) and then I went and worked on prewriting for Conductor in the library. After about two hours of that I went and reread the first few chapters of The Man Who Was Thursday, and then I caught a bus home and sat outside for a while... then got let in by the landlord and sat outside my apartment for an hour or so until Mum and James got home. XD;

In any case, I'm... actually feeling kind of woozy/floaty at the moment. You know, where your headspace doesn't quite feel attached? That. So I think I'm going to go chill for a little while, and then come back and see if any of that prewriting wants to be prose. (Alternatively, if I can write the exercise for DigiMed. >_>; I still haven't done it, and that is very bad. For shame, self.)

[EDIT] Oh! :D But the other good thing was, the guy at EB recognised me even with my hair cut, and let me pick up Apollo Justice without any ID! So I got to sit on my front steps ogling Klavier for a little while. :3 Maybe I'll put somet time into Trials and Tribulations while most of the Doctrine of Labyrinths is out of my hands... XD

nnnnnnnnnnngh. =_=
I think I fell asleep sometime after 4.30am.

I'm apparently getting quite worried about my Japanese exams, because I had to take a minute just to check that I could translate that sentence, which is weird. We haven't learned plain forms yet, though, and I can't remember how to put plain forms into past tense, and I think you need the 'te' form of the verb before 'to omou', don't you?

Anyway.

Clearly I'm not awake enough to perform general brain-mouth filtering, so perhaps I should go have a shower before I start rabbiting on about anything else strange and more or less useless. (Like the fact that I walked out to the kitchen with 'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head' in my mind, tried to translate that while I was waiting for the kettle, and then walked back to the computer singing something from Yu Yu Hakusho - not "Hohoemi no Bakudan." The other opening song. XD I know there's a line about rain falling and wind blowing, which is presumably what got me onto it, but all I can remember right now is me o akete, miru yume nara, which might be more appropriate than not by the simple token of the fact that I am clearly still completely asleep, to be talking about this with other people.)

[EDIT]

sdfgayhdfs WHY DIDN'T I KNOW THERE WAS OFFICIAL ART OF GUMSHOE HOLDING AN UMBRELLA FOR EDGEWORTH, SDJHYF KUJDYSF SDJHKD YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY :D

(Fuck Phoenix/Miles, man! Gumshoe/Edgeworth is where it is at! I don't mean that, really, I like the regular OTP, too, but G/E is just so... adorable. Intense puppyish admiration is always adorable. They have such partnership. It's just slightly different from the Phoenix/Miles partnership in the courtroom. But it all comes down to trust and reliability, and I know that sounds kind of weird when I'm talking about Gumshoe, but c'mon, he's gotta be doing something right, right?)

I mean, yes, there are few things gayer than assisting in the creation of a chocolate sculpture of another man in a suit... from a shirtless reference picture... while wearing a frilly pink apron. (Although admittedly the last bit is probably just Miles.)

But they are sharing an umbrella. :3 Capcom clearly loves me, lots and lots.

(THE FOURTH GAME IS OUT THIS THURSDAY AND I HAVEN'T FINISHED THE THIRD ONE YET. D: WHAT AM I GOING TO DO.)

......hey, look! Fandom is like insta!awake. XD I, um. Clearly I haven't had the chance to babble at anyone about my love for Gumshoe/Edgeworth and how much I want Perfect Prosecutor to explore their relationship a little better. Because off the top of my head, all I remember about them is from the case where you get to be in Edgeworth's office a lot and you find, like, blood on the floor that Phoenix suspects to be Gumshoe's, and the shelves which Gumshoe must scale for Edgeworth because Edgeworth doesn't like heights. And no one knows whether that blood was from being punched in the nose or from something else, hur hur hur. And I want more material on the way they work together. Because it looks like that's what the game is going to be focusing on (aside from Mr Frilly, obviously) and that is awesome.

...wow. I must've been sitting on all this for some time. XD Sorry for the fandom babble, folks!

grace~ un~der~ pressure~
That was about the most anticlimactic exam I've ever taken. XD Walked all the way to the top of I Block with Barbara-sensei, chatting about Kinokuniya and why it is bad to talk like Yakuza members and her concerns that I was bored in class (which was nice, I think, but I'm actually having a ball with it, so it's nice to be able to tell her that without sounding too weird and out-of-context), was sent into a room all by myself with a blank wall and a pencil and... uh. Filled out a page. There were like... five kanji to hiragana questions, five English to kanji questions, and two sentences that you had to translate and write with all the appropriate bits and pieces. XD; So, yeah. Kind of... easiest exam ever. Especially given all the things she was telling us we had to know five minutes earlier in class. XD

I need to stop talking about how much I love Richard, but I can't help it: I really love Richard. XD; *makes icons*

I also have to upload some of the music that I've been listening to for a few days, purely so that I can stop talking to you all about it and so you understand what I'm talking about - so, uh, that post still to come! For now, I'm tidying my room a little and starting on level design. WOO HOO, LEVEL DESIGN. WATCH ME MAKE UP PHYSICS AS I GO! :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD:

(I can't believe Apollo Justice is out in three weeks and I'm not even finished Trials and Tribulations yet. I should be fucking hamstringed.)
