you're gonna be a genius anyway
I am so far beyond tired today. I am pretty sure I am on the downward end of coming down with something. Exhausted. Doom impending. All those terrible things which are somehow miraculously offset by the fact that [info]howl_for_words SMS'd me today to tell me that apparently gays and lesbians can be de facto now. Have yet to find any news to confirm this, but I'll look a little harder as soon as my internet reconnects. Uh. The other things that offset the horror of feeling like... well... horror... are sitting by my elbow: Mélusine, The Virtu, and The Mirador. :D Apparently by May 20, Amazon meant April 30. Which is, you know, kind of totally fucking awesome.

And there would be the pudding in which the proof is.

"The changes will provide for equality of treatment under a wide range of Commonwealth laws between same-sex and opposite-sex de facto couples," he said.

Areas to be changed include tax, superannuation, social security, health, aged care, veterans entitlements, workers compensation and employment entitlements.
All coming in by mid-2009. Can I get a FUCK YEAH?

Once again the comments by the masses make me want to smack a bitch, but I think the fact that this is going to be legislation is pretty fucking awesome. If the world were not presently tilting anti-clockwise, I might stay on longer, but for the time being I think maybe going straight to bed might be a good plan. Or at least going to sit somewhere where topping to my left won't break my skull and surround me with shattered glass.

Also, met new boss-man today. Seems pleasant enough, if a little timid. o.0 Sort of bewildering, really, if he owns five other businesses, but, hell, as if I am complaining. Timid, polite and friendly is a far cry from the Sirianni family as a whole, and will make a pleasant change, I think.

Anyway. Going to go... plot in bed, maybe. Or read the novel that's gotta be done by next week. ...oh, wait, maybe I should study for that kanji exam that's on tomorrow first. :D; Could be a plan. I don't know about five of them nearly as well as I should, so, off I go.

HAPPY ANZAC DAY~!
I LOVE IT WHEN MY WORLDBUILDING MAKES SENSE. ...it happens so rarely.... >_> ) So, yeah, I'm basically gonna spend the weekend working out world details for Half Jack, I think, with bits and pieces of other assessment thrown in. ...like that kanji I keep determinedly ignoring... But, yeah, right now I gotta email Barbara-sensei so that I don't forget. :|

Also? Anyone who isn't reading Lackadaisy Speakeasy? NEEDS TO BE. ;_; O-oh my god, Viktor and Ivy are, like, oh god. SO FAR BEYOND AWESOME. ([info]leviathanmirror, I think you'll really like Ivy, too? She is something like Yuzuriha. This is probably why I pair her with Viktor automatically.)

AUSTRALIANS ALL, LET US REJOICE
FOR WE ARE YOUNG AND FREE
WITH GOLDEN SOIL AND WEALTH FOR TOIL
OUR LAND IS GIRT BY SEA
OUR LAND ABOUNDS IN NATURE'S GIFTS
OF BEAUTY RICH AND RARE
IN HISTORY'S PAGE LET EVERY STAGE
ADVANCE AUSTRALIA FAIR~
IN JOYFUL STRAINS THEN LET US SING
ADVANCE AUSTRALIA FAIR~

:3 I'm only patriotic when dead folks are involved. Also, I love our national anthem. Even if I am fond of Waltzing Matilda, I really very much like Advance Australia Fair. I missed singing it every week when I left primary school. (I mean, come on, guys. We have the word 'girt' in our anthem. This alone is awesome sauce.)

.......the very next thought to cross my mind after bawling along to the national anthem should not be, "You know, Kio should photograph the Zero some time." |D; Patriotism of a sort?
