Well, work was pretty good. Had one more person than I'm used to, because I was training/inducting the new girl tonight. Her name's Rebecca, and she seems very switched on, if a little weirded out by how crappy the store is. XD I spent most of the night showing her things and then shrieking YES to her :\ face, which I'm sure she found totally reassuring. She seemed a little stilted at the beginning of the night (an understandable reaction to my helter-skelter approach to management and life, as well as my loud threats to kill anyone who fucked with the milk fridge) but she warmed up enough toward the end to flail about stepping on people's toes, so that's all right. XD I was so worried about offending her when I was explaining how
we counted tills of an evening, but we bonded over how ridiculous it is to have to make the till float but
not check the balance or do anything to confirm that thousands of dollars are not missing from the till.
I think she thinks I am kind of an idiot/ditz, but this is okay, because I am. Particularly around Amber, who understands most of my verbal asdhfjdakdhfds.
In other news, as I happily squealed to Monique tonight,
Antique Bakery ep. 1 is out and subbed and downloaded while I was at work, so I think I should watch that now. 8DDD I cannot wait to see how they have portrayed everyone's favourite Gay of Demonic Charm.
Mum has Man Who Is Not Boyfriend over again, presumably to watch the football, and James and I gathered surreptitiously to giggle at them and decide unanimously that it was all right either way because he Seems Like A Nice Man.
Clearly a combination of working and nerves has transported me into hyperawareness again, so I am Talking Like This. This is probably a prime time to write in my Yuffie Voice. Sadly, the next scene is full of Reeve.
Whom I love.
But who does not talk like this.
[EDIT]
It is
fucking cold sitting in front of an open window late at night in the middle of winter.
...
Well, yes, of course. You
would say that.
