my family laughs in the face of context
ME: Hello?
OOPI: Laura~! What do you call it, in a limestone cave, going down?
ME: ...buh?
OOPI: You know, the things in limestone caves! ...have you been in a limestone cave?
ME: Yes. What, like the spikes?
OOPI: Yes!
ME: Oh. Stalactites going down, stalagmites going up. o.0

So, surgery it is, apparently. Ultrasounding right wrist on Thursday to check for tenosynowhatever and/or ganglion there, and then to a hand specialist for cutting since apparently draining isn't an option. I am devastated to find that it is, in fact, too deep within my wrist to beat it with Swinburne until it submits. DEVASTATED. Only because, come on, HEALING BY THE BOOK. GEDDIT?

Yeah, mood dropped to about a -1 on the bus trip home but I think it will repair.

I should be devastated for you but you crack me up. XD Swinburne would have been so perfect.

What will the surgery involve?

I am to please. :D Also, come on Skype.

Cutting open the base of my thumb, I guess. NEAR-ARTERIAL ESCAPADES. (I have no idea, but the cyst is like a centimetre wide. WTF, if you're going to hurt me at least be a decent size!)

Am finishing up my cleaning, then going to drop off some books at the library, then going to exercise, then I'll be here for Skype. Our timing is so off these days. -____- (Or I tend to do the things that should have been done early in the morning, in the middle of the day.)

Huh. So it isn't in the actual wrist? That doesn't seem so dire...

No, it is... it's like, well, put a finger on the skin between your forefinger and thumb. Then draw that down to your wrist, following the finger bone. It's in under there. Where the pain is. Imagine that! XD;

I'm heading out for lunch soon but then I'll be back about half one and we can Skype until and after my phone interview? I'm not nervous yet, thank god. XD

Heeee phone interview! ^^ I like the idea of phone interviews. I'd totally relax on my bed with my feet up on the window sill and chat away. Best of all, there is no need to dress up. Hell yes!

Ooh, ouch. =S That sounds a little less than fun. I will bring you a balloon in hospital?
Would they let you take a plushie in? I got to take Simba into surgery. ...I was eight, but this isn't the point.

Oh, I'm sure it won't be that dramatic - just arms, after all. I am just morbid enough to ask if I am allowed to stay awake and watch.
