*seethes*

ONE DAY I WILL READ SOMETHING WHERE MY FAVOURITE FUCKING CHARACTER DOESN'T DIE.

Telling myself that I knew it was coming is NO HELP AT ALL.

[EDIT] ..............Joscelin. is such. a DORK. XDDD ♥

Oh, you reached that part. :( *sigh* I'm so sorry. I... I hate that part. It's stupid. Why did she have to kill off the best character? Both of the best characters, actually.

*sigh* ;_;

Teehee, I'm not sure, but I did the same? Oh I have to read those books again, if only for Joscelin. I can skip the horrible dying part. :'( WHY DID SHE HAVE TO DO THAT? THEY WERE INTERESTING CHARACTERS! Grrr. Sigh.

Actually, I think that if you combined Joscelin and Ibn Battutah (I'm sorry, I know I don't shut up about him but he is so much horrible love), you'd probably get Pashur. XD; Now I really have to reread those books to see if I recall Joscelin correctly.

Joscelin is so awesome. ^^ He's one of my favorite characters out of everything I've read and watched over the years. I always laugh when he's on the page, too. I think it's because he's a little clueless at times, mostly about the effect he has on people.

He's like a retarded puppy with a messiah complex.

Well, okay, not a messiah complex, but he's like an over-protective puppy trained very specifically in ONE THING and VERY CONFUSED whenever anything else happens.

It is HILARIOUS.

(He annoyed me the last time I tried to read these, but that was probably six years ago now, so I think my tastes must have 180'd.)

Haha, that's a good way of describing him. Something weird happens, and he's like, "Does. Not. Compute."

Hee. I think if I was still into the aloof, grumpy guy types, Joscelin would have had zero appeal for me, but I've come to like characters who stick by their principles.

Which one was your favorite, Alcuin or Delaunay?

Also, yes, Joscelin is amazing. He actually gets even better as he ages. Once he grows out of that "I am Cassiline, watch me fret" stage, he grows some badass and some pragmatism. Not that the "Disapprove! Fret! Meditate! Uphold obscure points of honor! Disapprove! Fret!" stage isn't amusing and lovable.

I think Carey kind of intended him to be both the straight man and the major source of comic relief.

Alcuin. *sobs brokenly* His love for Delaunay, it was like a truck, ber-ser-ker. :(

I think I liked him better when he was a principled dorkface than as he is even coming to the end of Dart, but we'll see how he goes. (And if that was her intention, then she pulled it off very well. XD)
