mmmmm.
Official day off without mother being home = official sleep in until whenever the fuck you like day.

Arms are better; fingers are not, particularly on the left, which is unsurprising - I'd have compensated a lot yesterday and it's not used to the workload. I'm not going to spend a lot of time on here today but I can see people on Skype in about an hour - after I'm showered and all, you know. XD Buzz me if I'm not online.

Other than that, these are the goals:
- breakfast
- shower

- clean bathroom
- wash sheets + towels
- dry sheets + towels
- wash white load

- dust bookcase
- vacuum room
- vacuum HOUSE because the floor out there is HIDEOUS
- go to post office for passport forms
- tidy room

- tidy desk (yes, this is a separate task)
- find out how many people you may need to make dinner for
- stop wanting to curl into a ball and die, okay, ovaries, I mean it
- bed by eleven

It was raining the first time I woke up today. I'm kind of sad that I went back to sleep. :(

[EDIT] Never mind, it is raining again. :DDDDDD

Things Discovered While Cleaning
1) Rock Band Drum Kits, when dismantled, can be used to mimic weapons. Specifically Shelke's light sabre thingies in Dirge of Cerberus. I'm still not sure why I was so delighted to discover this. I'm marking it down to INTENSE BOREDOM, because at least half of me still insists that Shelke is not a Real Character. (I wish I could get past this, but, no, friends, I am just not that mature.)

2) My great and epic love for Stephen Colbert. I am just completely in love with this man, okay, I am not even sure why. I see his face and I feel like the media is okay. XD In particular, yes, guys. THIS IS WHAT FAIR USE MEANS. ...I'm kind of amused that I found this in a post involving a Jon/Stephen video but Colbert's reverse psychology approach is something I greatly approve of. XD

Okay, so I may just like how animated his face is. Shh.

3) Oh fuck yes Stockholm Blend. Not that this really counts as discovering but oh fuck yes. <3 <3 <3 It is way too hot for tea, really, but somehow it is refreshing anyway? Go figure.

4) I have been listening to this mix almost exclusively for about a week. |D; It is a mix of Gay Bar and House in the Country, or whatever that song's called. It's kind of awesome.

I can't make polls on this, but.
So, guys, it is Hard Decision Making Time.

DO I:

- take three weeks (or more) off with arm splints and then go back to it
- try to get Centrelink to support me in taking even more time off and get used to a life without hands
- take those three weeks off with the splints and use dad's birthday offer to get a kinesis keyboard, voice recorder, and decent speech-to-text software
- spend a year legally dead for tax purposes like that guy in the restaurant at the end of the universe (only in my case for health purposes, which I think is funnier)
- pack up my computer for those three weeks and see how long it takes me to go stark raving mad

?

Other suggestions are appreciated. Note that I have not yet discussed any of this with my mother and any of these plans may not meet with her approval.

[EDIT] Mum's decision on my behalf: quit, take three weeks off to get my hands back on track, and then start applying for Real Jobs. Quotes from that conversation involved the favourite you aren't writing anything IMPORTANT anyway, which I'm sure you can all guess makes me feel SPARKLY AND SUPPORTED.

obvious inexperience.
MUM: Want some vodka?
ME: *shrug* All right.
MUM: One shot or two?
ME: Uhhhh--
MUM: Two it is!

And of course I forgot to eat before I started drinking. So if I miss letters you know why.

Also, Swordspoint is utterly fascinating. I hate comedies of manners usually but this is, how you say, intriguing. I am already driven mad with wanting to know what in hell Alec's deal is, and want to know the full arc of Michael Godwin.

Someone needs to remind me that finishing drinks to get them over with is a bad approach where alcohol is involved. Off to lie down now and possibly to brave the kitchen for toast.

The amusing part about using a tablet as your primary mouse is using the stylus on your keyboard.

[EDIT] lol i can't tell if this numbness is alcohol induced or from my arms XD
