This is a Felix song, yes or yes. (I love Rufus Wainwright far too much.)

CIGARETTES AND CHOCOLATE MILK
(Rufus Wainwright)

Cigarettes and chocolate milk, these are just a couple of my cravings
Everything it seems I like's a little bit stronger
A little bit thicker, a little bit harmful for me
If I should buy jellybeans, have to eat them all in just one sitting
Everything it seems I like's a little bit sweeter
A little bit fatter, a little bit harmful for me

And then there's those other things, which for several reasons we won't mention
Everything about 'em is a little bit stranger, a little bit harder, a little bit deadly
It isn't very smart, tends to make one part so brokenhearted

Sitting here remembering me, always been a shoe made for the city
Go ahead accuse me of just singing about places
With scrappy boys' faces, have general run of the town
Playing with prodigal sons, takes a lot of sentimental valiums
Can't expect the world to be your Raggedy Andy,
While running on empty, you little old doll with a frown

You got to keep in the game, retaining mystique while facing forward
I suggest a reading of A Lesson in Tightropes,
Or Surfing Your High Hopes, or Adios Kansas
It isn't very smart, tends to make one part so brokenhearted

Still there's not a show on my back
Holes, or a friendly intervention
I'm just a little bit heiress, a little bit Irish
A little bit Tower of Pisa whenever I see ya
So please be kind if I'm a mess
Cigarettes and chocolate milk, cigarettes and chocolate milk

Taking, thanks! I recently discovered Rufus Wainwright, I'm in love with 'Instant Pleasure'.

Alsoooo, I want to get you a bday present this year, now, I was thinking of getting you a nice shiny proper 2009 diary so you can keep yourself very organised, but I wanted to ask first in case you already have a diary for next year.

I don't, and I'd love one! I've been eyeing off the rainbow diaries in Kikki K, actually, but I haven't had a close look at them yet and I know they're probably super expensive, and I am nothing if not a cheapass when it comes to diaries because I usually forget about them when I'm really busy. XD

It's in Queen's Plaza - down the bottom in the corner near the escalators. I looked today and I like the yellow-green vinyl weekly ones and... uhhh.... the clothbound one on the shelf with designs on the pages, but they're a little pricey. XD I don't know what you wanted to spend. (The rainbow one, sadly, is a desk diary. Cry.)

I was thinking about $30-40, a diary wouldn't be much more than that, surely? @_@

Awesome! Well, the design one is only $34. ^__^ You're way more willing to spend cash on diaries than I am. XD

Welll, I didn't get you a present last year, and you took me out to dinner on my birthday, so it's like a 2-for-1 :P

I originally just thought about getting you a gift certificate for Borders but I thought you could really use a proper diary instead of just making lists and lists on IJ :P, and I'd rather get you one you really like and would use instead of just a boring plain one that you'd throw in a drawer and it would never see the light of day.

Also, if I got you a gift certificate I know you just would have spent it on another copy of Good Omens XD

Man, that's totally Felix. I actually have that song. I need to go give it another listen to see if I like the tune. I have a bad habit of letting things disappearing into the iTunes vortex after I download them. =/

It seems to be more and more appropriate with every line. XD; All-Night Yahtzee have done an a-capella version where the background vocals after the bridge are the LJ-cut on this entry, and that works really well, too. No idea about the works referenced in the lyrics, though.
